🛠️ How to Fix 'Get Windows 10' (GWX) Not Compatible or Missing

✅ 1. Check for Windows Updates

  • Open the Control Panel and go to Windows Update.

  • Install all available updates to ensure your PC is up to date.

  • If updates fail, run the Windows Update Troubleshooter.

🔧 2. Use the Media Creation Tool

  • Visit Microsoft’s official site and download the Windows 10 Media Creation Tool.

  • Click “Download now”, save the tool, and run it on the PC you're trying to upgrade.

  • Even if this didn’t work during the initial Windows 10 rollout, try again—the tool has been updated and may now support your system.

🖥️ 3. Enable DEP (Data Execution Prevention)

  • Go into your BIOS/UEFI settings and make sure Hardware-based DEP is enabled. Refer to your motherboard manual if you're unsure.

  • You can also enable DEP from Windows:

    • Open the Start Menu, search for “Performance”, and choose “Adjust the appearance and performance of Windows.”

    • Go to the Data Execution Prevention tab, select “Turn on DEP for all programs and services”, click Apply, and restart your PC.
